Regional Seminar “Current State of the Higher Education Quality Assurance System in Ukraine: Challenges and Prospects” in Kropyvnytskyi 

This year, the first regional seminar in the series “Current State of the Higher Education Quality Assurance System in Ukraine: Challenges and Peospects” took place in Kropyvnytskyi. 137 educators and researchers from the region participated in the discussion about improving the quality of higher education. The event was co-organised by the Central Ukrainian State University named after V. Vynnychenko. 

NAQA Head, Andrii Butenko, addressed issues related to the regulatory framework for evaluating study programmes, the prospects of introducing post-accreditation monitoring, and the specifics of working with the List of significant deficiencies and Clarifications on the application of the Evaluation criteria. 

NAQA Vice Head, Nataliia Stukalo, outlined several key topics, including NAQA role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, the key areas of modernisation of the quality assurance system in accordance with ESG 2015, emphasised the importance of involving students and stakeholders in this process, and highlighted the prospects for integrating artificial intelligence into the educational environment. 

During the visit, NAQA representatives also held a working meeting with the leadership of the Central Ukrainian National Technical University and the relevant department for higher education quality assurance to learn about the best practices of the university.
