Regional round table “Specifics of Implementing the Law of Ukraine ‘On Academic Integrity’ in the Educational Process” in Lviv

On 13 March, NAQA held a regional round table “Specifics of Implementing the Law of Ukraine ‘On Academic Integrity’ in the Educational Process” at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

The event brought together representatives from 11 higher education institutions from Lviv, Lutsk, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk, experts in the field of quality assurance in education, academics, students and representatives of state authorities to discuss key aspects of the implementation of legislation on academic integrity.

The participants were addressed by Yuliia Hryshyna, Member of the Ukrainian Parliament and Chairperson of the Sub-committee on Higher Education of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Education, Science and Innovations, and Roman Hladyshevskyi, Rector of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

NAQA was represented by Ivan Nazarov, NAQA Vice Head; Oleksandr Khymenko, Head of the Secretariat; and Leontii Shypilov, Head of the Academic Integrity and One-Time Councils’ Operation Department. The event was attended by representatives of the university community, including Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, and student self-government bodies.

The active involvement of the educational community contributes to the formation of a shared vision for the development of a culture of academic integrity and the strengthening of the quality assurance system for higher education in Ukraine.
