On 21 August, a closing event was held to analyse the results of the pilot scheme for the Methodological Recommendations on the use of tools and mechanisms to transform various areas of higher education institutions’ operations on the principles of transparency and integrity. The event was initiated and organised by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention.
The National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance was represented at the event by Vice Head Olena Yeremenko.
The practical testing of the document in the real-world context of Ukrainian higher education institutions marked an important stage in the development of a qualitatively new educational environment. The pilot scheme made it possible to test the effectiveness of the proposed mechanisms directly in practice, as well as to identify ‘bottlenecks’ and formulate proposals for further improving the guidelines.
During the meeting, participants discussed the key challenges faced by universities and presented the first successful case studies of the implementation of anti-corruption standards. Thanks to feedback from educators and experts, clear prospects were outlined for using the developed tools to bring about systemic transformations across the entire higher education sector in Ukraine.
