On May 17, a working meeting was held “The role and place of professional standards in the formation of study programs of higher education institutions in the field of cyber security.”
NAQA was represented at the meeting by Oleksandr Khymenko, Head of the Secretariat, and Oleksandra Osiiuk, the Deputy. The participants were also representatives of the State Special Service, the Ministry of Education and Science, the National Academy of Sciences.
Colleagues considered the urgent issues of the formation of study programmes:
- creating a system of professional standardization of the personnel potential of Ukraine in accordance with the framework of qualifications;
- implementation of professional standards in the field of cyber security for study programmes;
- quality of training of specialists in the speciality “Cybersecurity and information protection”;
- role and place of Qualification centres for professional certification of personnel in the field of information security and cybersecurity, as well as discussion of the difference between academic and professional qualifications.
It is extremely important that representatives of the main stakeholder groups were present at the meeting, which provided a broader understanding of the needs and expectations of each group, and contributed to effective communication.
