On December 19, the Information Days of the European Union Erasmus+ Program in the fields of education, youth, and sports began. The event, co-organized by NAQA, the European Union Representation in Ukraine, the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the National Qualifications Agency of Ukraine, the Erasmus+ Youth Information Center, and the European Solidarity Corps, outlined opportunities and competitions for Ukrainian organizations in 2024.
In his opening remarks, Andrii Butenko, NAQA Head, expressed gratitude to the National Erasmus+ Office for its significant impact on higher education in Ukraine, particularly in the context of internationalization. He emphasized that Erasmus+ projects enable educators, researchers, and higher education applicants to gain experience in partner institutions and attract material and intellectual resources from European partners to enhance higher education in Ukraine.
Andrii Butenko also drew attention to the internal quality assurance systems in Ukrainian higher education institutions. Unlike European universities, where internal quality assurance systems have long-standing traditions and practices, Ukrainian universities have local successes and experience in this direction. Therefore, one of the important directions of cooperation within Erasmus+ projects is the exchange and implementation of best practices and the creation of new cases in the context of ensuring internal quality assurance systems in higher education. NAQA has repeatedly participated and will continue to participate as a partner in Erasmus+ projects, supporting domestic higher education institutions in their efforts to improve higher education in Ukraine, particularly within the European educational environment.
