StrikePlagiarism.com Workshop in Lviv

Last week, a StrikePlagiarism workshop was held in Lviv, focusing on the use of artificial intelligence in research and education, as well as the implementation of new policies following the adoption of the Law of Ukraine “On Academic Integrity”. The National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance was represented by Leontii Shypilov, Head of the Academic Integrity and One-Time Councils’ Operation Department, and Nataliia Batsak, a Leading Specialist of the Department.

During their presentations, the speakers discussed the new requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Academic Integrity”, as well as current practices for detecting academic plagiarism in research papers.

As part of the event, participants were also introduced to the Stylometry module for checking writing style, which is already available via Google Docs integration. This initiative will serve as a valuable tool during checks.

A highlight of the workshop was the presentation of certificates of appreciation from NAQA to Plagiat.pl — the developer of the StrikePlagiarism.com system — and its Executive Director Ali Tahmazov, in recognition of their significant long-standing contribution to the development of the higher education quality assurance system in Ukraine.
